How to Add Google and Facebook Reviews to Your Squarespace Site

If you’ve collected kind words from past clients, guests, or community members, don’t let them sit unseen.

Adding reviews to your Squarespace site is a powerful way to build trust. Whether you’re a wellness provider, a nonprofit, or a service-based business, testimonials show the human side of your work. They help visitors feel more confident, connected, and ready to reach out.

Here are a few simple ways to bring in reviews from Google and Facebook, even if Squarespace doesn’t offer direct integrations out of the box.

Use a third-party reviews widget

The easiest and most design-friendly way to pull in reviews from outside platforms is by using a third-party tool. Services like Elfsight and SociableKIT let you embed live review feeds into your Squarespace site without coding.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose the platform you want to embed (Google, Facebook, Airbnb)

  2. Customize the widget style to match your branding

  3. Copy the embed code they give you

  4. In Squarespace, add a Code Block where you want the reviews to appear and paste it in

These tools usually offer a free trial or limited free plan, with affordable monthly pricing if you want to unlock full features.

Add reviews manually for more control

If you don’t want to use a third-party service, or you only have a few select testimonials you love, you can also add reviews manually.

Try this structure:

  • Create a Testimonial Section on your homepage or services page using text blocks and image blocks

  • Include the reviewer’s name, role (if relevant), and where the review originally came from (like “via Google review”)

  • Keep the design simple and spacious; too many fonts or boxes can start to feel noisy

This method gives you full control over what’s displayed and how it looks.

How to collect the review link from each platform

To feature reviews from different platforms, you first need to collect the reviews or links correctly:

Google:

  • Search your business name on Google

  • In the Knowledge Panel, click “Google Reviews” → choose a review to copy

  • Or, link directly to your Google Review page so others can leave one too

Airbnb:

  • Log into your host account and go to the Reviews section

  • Screenshot or copy/paste the best quotes into your website

  • You can’t embed Airbnb reviews live, but you can cite them with credit

Facebook:

  • Go to your Facebook Page → Reviews section

  • Copy the text of a standout review or use Elfsight/SociableKIT to embed them live

Where to place reviews on your site

Here are a few common spots to feature testimonials:

  • Homepage (especially below your intro or service list)

  • About page (to support your story with social proof)

  • Contact or inquiry page (as gentle encouragement to reach out)

  • Dedicated “Praise” or “Kind Words” page if you want to keep things tidy

Pro tip: Don’t overload a single section with too many reviews. Curate two to three thoughtful quotes in each place so they feel natural and focused.

The takeaway

You’ve worked hard to earn those kind reviews from your clients! Let them do some of the heavy lifting on your site. Whether you add reviews with a simple text block or a live widget, the goal is the same: build trust, show proof, and remind people they’re in the right place.
